wimare - Tourism and Culture was founded as the first incoming agency of Weimar in 1990. Since then, we have received many clients from all over the world offering therefore our services in German, English, Russian or French.
It makes no difference if you come to visit Weimar as an individual guest, in a travel group, a student or as a company representative - our high standards that guarantee every client a unique experience has remained the main concern of our work. We work with hotels and other partners in Weimar as well as with German incentive and travel agencies, tour operators, institutions and companies. In addition, we have established relations with European partners.
Our service ranges from particular elements such as guided city and thematic tours, transfers and travel guides to elaborate creative, active and cultural arrangements. wimare can also be your partner when you plan to organise a several day´s stay in Weimar and / or Thuringia.
The 4-day program "Exclusive Weimar", created by wimare in cooperation with Dr. Tigges Reisen, won the "Oscar of tourism" - the "Goldene Palme" 2004 of the travel magazine GEO SAISON. The unique arrangement in Weimar was awarded 3rd place in the category "City Tours" - just behind Istanbul and Kairo.
Since 2004, wimare has also offered its services for Baden-Baden and surroundings. From now on, here you will find the same high-quality tourism service, satisfying and exceeding our clients´ demands, as for Weimar.
The following program was transmitted by the "Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk" due to Weimar being the "Cultural Capital of Europe" in 1999. As a part of the television program "Unterwegs in Thüringen" it has public character.
